Rosacea: 25,000IU, twice daily, five days a week, for one month.
Sinusitis: 10,000IU twice a day for four or five days.
Sunburn: 25,000IU twice a day for three days after a sunburn. On the fourth day, cut back to 10,000IU twice daily and maintain that dosage for two weeks. Then cut back again to 2,500 ­ 5,000IU.
Surgery, recovering from: 10,000IU twice daily.
Tendinitis: 5,000IU twice daily with 5,000IU twice daily of vitamin A.
Tuberculosis: 10,000IU daily while the disease is active.
Uveitis: 10,000 ­ 25,000IU of beta-caroteneor mixed carotenoids daily.
Vaginitis: 10,000IU and 10,000IU of vitamin A twice daily for two weeks.
Warts: 10,000IU twice a day for ten days.
Pregnant women should not ingest a total of more than 25,000IU of supplemental vitamin A per week from all sources. Consult your doctor before taking supplemental vitamin A if you have liver disease, are pregnant or intend to get pregnant.
