Men: General: 200mcg
Women: General: 190mcg
Pregnant: 400mcg
Nursing: 280mcg for the first 6 months, then 260mcg.

Daily supplementation: 3 - 8mg daily
Elevated homocysteine levels: 10 - 20mg daily.
Heart disease risk: 10 - 20 mg daily.
Cancer: 20 - 60mg daily.
