Bayberry is used as a tonic to treat diarrhea and external wounds, and as a stimulant.

Some Native American tribes used it to reduce fevers.

Recommended as a tonic for stimulating and increasing immune system function.

Used as a gargle to relieve tonsillitis and sore throats.
