Birch tea, made from the bark and leaves, is a treatment for fever and abdominal cramps.

Helps to heal burns and wounds and cleanse the blood. Birch bark also contains a glycoside, which decomposes to methyl salicylate, a remedy for rheumatism used both in Canada and the United States.

  • The natural properties are used for blood cleansing.
  • The bark produces "birch oil" and is used to treat certain skin conditions.
