Boneset (Eupatorium Perfoliatum)

A.K.A: Agueweed, Indian Sage, Feverwort

This herb has been used for fevers and flu. It has been used to restore strength in the stomach and spleen.

Research has shown that boneset contains antiseptic properties and promotes sweating to help in cases of colds and flu. Boneset strengthens the immune system by enhancing the secretion of interferon. Other studies have found boneset to have anti viral properties making it effective against minor viral and bacterial infections by stimulating the white blood cells.

This herb has been used to treat indigestion and pain and may also contain some mild anti-inflammatory agents to help with conditions such as arthritis.

  • Slow but continuous stimulant and tonic for stomach, liver, bowels, and uterus.
