Calendula is a well-known first aid remedy, used as an ointment for wounds, injuries, scrapes, burns, bruises, sprains, muscle spasms, ulcers, and varicose veins.

  • Similar to Witch Hazel and considered to be one of the best antiseptics, due to its natural iodine content.
  • Used as a local application for healing of all types of skin irritations and injuries.
  • Effective for healing membranes inside the body; aiding the colon, gums, stomach, and liver.
  • Most commonly applied externally as an ointment or oil, usually for injuries, burns and varicose veins.
