Jojoba (Simmondisia Chinensis)

The wax found in the Jojoba oil aids in treating acne and psoriasis. It has traditionally been used for this purpose with much success, along with healing minor skin irritations.

Jojoba oil, made from the the seeds of the plant, has been used to promote hair growth. It assists in removing the sebum that cause dandruff and scalp disorders and tends to make the scalp less acidic.

One study found that rabbits, fed jojoba oil, had a 40% reduction in their blood cholesterol levels.

Jojoba oil is often used as a carrier oil when creating scented and therapeutic bath oils or massage oils.
