Kava Kava herb is recommended as a powerful muscle relaxant. Kava kava is used as an analgesic sedative, for rheumatism, and insomnia. It has antiseptic properties to help with bladder infections. And is considered to be an important herb for pain. Polynesians used kava kava in their ceremonial drinks as a mild sedative, tonic and stimulant.
Kava kava seems to have an advantage over drugs often prescribed for anxiety and insomnia in that it does not seem to lose effectiveness over time. Several studies have shown significant benefit for individuals suffering from anxiety.
