Germanium

  • Cancer Treatment
  • Candida
  • Arthritis
  • Oxygen deliverer
  • Viral Infections
  • Pain Management

Germanium is a trace element found in garlic, ginseng, chlorella and various mushrooms. Although officially considered nonessential, researchers have learned that the element might help treat cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, Candida albicans (yeast), AIDS, and other viral infections.

Germanium has the ability to stimulate immune function, supplement tissue oxygen and help inhibit tumor development.

Japanese scientist, Kazuhiko Asai, found that an intake of 100 to 300 milligrams of germanium per day improved many illnesses, including rheumatoid arthritis, food allergies, elevated cholesterol levels, chronic viral infections, cancer, and AIDS.

Germanium carries six (sesquioxide) oxygen molecules to whatever tissue it reaches. In the case of cancer cells, which demand an oxygen free environment to multiply, germanium favors the growth of normal tissue over the invasive malignancy.

Research shows that germanium, especially the sesquioxide, boosts the immune system, wards off free radical damage, and helps the body rid itself of immune-weakening toxins while generating oxygen production inside tissue cells.

Germanium is important for diets high in unsaturated fats, which, although cholesterol lowering, deplete oxygen.

Sources: Germanium is found in all organic material, of both plant and animal origin. Foods containing the greatest concentrations of germanium are broccoli, celery, garlic, shitake mushrooms, milk, onions, rhubarb, sauerkraut and tomato juice.

Herb Sources: Aloe vera, comfrey, ginseng and suma.

Precautions: Germanium dixoide, germanium lactate citrate, and other inferior versions are inexpensive and widely available but potentially dangerous. They have been blamed for two deaths and have been linked to cases of kidney damage. Pure Ge-132 is expensive, but has not been known to cause adverse effects.

Dosage Ranges and Duration of Administration: Supplements are the most reliable source of germanium. Consume only pure organic germanium, at a dosage of 25-300 mg per day. The safest form of the nutrient is germanium bis-carboxyethyl sesquioxide-132, or Ge-132.

100-300 mg of germanium per day improves many illnesses including rheumatoid arthritis, food allergies, elevated cholesterol, candidiasis, chronic viral infections, cancer and AID
